A catch-all feature that is activated for a particular mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the very same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without effort if you have a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet astonishingly user-friendly, and it will allow you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and next to each one of them you will find a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all email address can be set up with a couple of clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered via our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To activate the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you’ll have to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Deactivating this functionality can be accomplished in the exact same way and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or change anything automatically.
